When do I need to see a doctor in person?
Based on your answers to the questions about your health, we recommend having your eyes tested with an optometrist or eye doctor.
Hormonal changes in the body during pregnancy can lead to changes in visual acuity and refractive error. We therefore cannot guarantee the measurement provided is trustworthy. It is recommended to have your eyes measured again two months after giving birth, as hormone levels tend to regulate after six-to-eight weeks. Of course, if there are notable vision issues, please visit an optometrist or eye doctor sooner rather than later.
Diabetic or any other systemic diseases have an affect on the vascular system in the body. The retina of the eye contains a lot of blood vessels. Systemic diseases can influence the blood flow of the eye and therefore the refractive error can change. In this case we cannot guarantee the measurement provided is trustworthy and therefore we recommend having your eyes tested with an optometrist or eye doctor.
In case you suffer from painful and/or irritated eyes, this can indicate a diseased eye. Such (systemic) diseases can have an affect on the vascular system in the body.
Eye surgeries (such as corneal transplant or pterygium removal) can heavily influence the refractive error of the eye. In some cases it can even cause extreme astigmatism or Myopia/Hyperopia. With the measurement performed we cannot guarantee that the outcome is trustworthy for users who had previous surgery.
